# Authentication

To interact with the Energy Hub Alliance API, you need need an API-key.
API-keys can be generated in the partner portal. One subscription can have several API-keys, so you can generate multiple keys for different applications.

We recommend to store the API-keys savely, since all data a the related subscription can be access trough this key.
